Understand the facts before proceeding with saline breast implants
There are a number of decisions to be made when considering breast augmentation or often referred to as breast implants. Many women have successfully gone through the procedure of having saline breast implants. Over time, the skin around the breast stretches due to gravity, weight loss and as a result of pregnancy. If you are unhappy with the shape of your breasts, you are a candidate for saline breast implants.
Saline breast implants work like this. A sac made of silicone elastomer or rubber is surgically implanted under your chest tissue. Through a valve, saline which is a saltwater solution fills the sac. Once filled, the value is removed. Most breast augmentations are done to increase the breast size. However, breast reconstruction is performed to restore the shape of the breast often after a mastectomy.
When considering getting saline breast implants, one must remember that they will likely not be lifetime devices. In the future, you will have to get them removed for good or have replacements implanted. If your implants are not perfect when the surgery is done, the likelihood of making changes is slim so please do your research before considering breast implants.
